Vivienne Vermes


Vivienne Vermes is a writer and actress who tells passengers to “mind the gap” on the metro. She has published three collections of poetry and a CD, and has performed her work all over Europe. She is winner of the Piccadilly Poets’ award, the Daily Mail Novel competition, Flash 500’s prize for short prose and the Paragram 2014 national competition for best poem. She also runs a writers’ workshop in Paris.

She played Queen Elizabeth II in the highly successful film Les Profs 2 (2015) and the “femme cougar” in Le Retour des Trois Frères (2013) by Les Inconnus.



Book launch of 17 and a half minutes, a collection of prose, poetry and flash fiction by nine Anglophone authors, writing against the clock, in October. Venue in Paris TBA.
